Even a half-century later, thigh-highs and garter belts always steal the show. Add a seedy night club, a doomed romance between a German and a Jew and a whole lot of dancing, singing and dramatic horsing around, and you have an enthralling production that won't lose its glamour even 40 years later. Virginia Commonwealth University's production of "Cabaret," directed by Mark Ramont, associate producer of Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C., and choreographed by VCU's Patti D'Beck, creates a memorable interpretation. Tickets for the show at the Singleton Center are $18-$20. Show times are April 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. and April 27 at 3 p.m. 828-2695.
