I'd like to answer the writer's question about Bacchus' popularity quite simply, it's because of Nancy Fisher and the consistency of the menu ("Popularity Contest," Food & Drink," March 7).
No one runs a better pub or restaurant than she does. Whether she's behind the bar, greeting folks at the door, or serving them, Nancy reigns supreme. Over the past seven years, the loyal following has come to expect the menu that your writer faults.
Style has written more than one news story about this popular restaurant and I've never seen the managing partner's name mentioned. Please inform the next writer, if she allows a Style reporter to dine in her establishment again, that Nancy is one of the owners.
As always with this type of article, the writer's opinion is valuable and necessary, but it is not appropriate to include such items as the nasty comment at the end of the review. Please tell B.P. Fox that I'd prefer to read someone else's writings; someone who could compose a grammatically correct sentence for instance.Clay Hamner
