Babyface's Changing Table

So what's left after founding a record label, producing films, writing songs for Madonna and Whitney and boasting one of the most recognizable names in R&B history? Clearly, not much. Sure, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds could always just kick up his feet and bask in his success, but instead he released a new album last year, "Playlist." On it, Babyface dares to tread where every down-and-out artist has before, covering classic songs from artists such as Eric Clapton, James Taylor and Bob Dylan. Whether or not he can unearth a new cool in the classics is suspect, but as far as his fiercely loyal fans are concerned, the show is sure to deliver Thursday, Feb. 28, at the National Theater at 8 p.m. $30.
