Australian indie rockers Atlas Genius had an unexpected surge in popularity when the song “Trojans” was featured by the site Neon Gold, which resulted in offers from record labels and more than 45,000 downloads before the band members even scored a deal. After exposure on MTV and Sirius XM, the band signed with Warner Bros. and released its debut album, “When It Was Now,” earlier this year. Atlas Genius performs at the Canal Club on Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. $10-$12. thecanalclub.com.
