Ten years. That’s a mighty long time. Most people don’t do much of anything for a decade, unless it’s bad for them. But Art Works, the Richmond gallery that’s been a champion of all things creative in the capital city for the last 10 calendars, is a notable exception. You can help the gallery celebrate its 3,650 days of existence on Friday, Oct. 25, during its massive Fourth Friday opening. Six new exhibitions by Milenko Katic and Tanya Tyree, Ilona Schuvalova, Trisha Girimont, Beth Bradford, Cheryl Clayton and the juried October all-media show will premiere. The acoustic rock of the Offering will fill your ears to go along with the abundance of eye candy. While you’re perusing the art, be sure to say thank you. Arts Works is one of the good guys. Doors open at 7 p.m. Free. artworksrichmond.com.
