In the Main gallery's "Horsing Around In the Garden", featured artists Emma Lou Martin and Susie Melton combine their loves of flowers and horses. Guest artist Julie Burleigh, on the other hand, prefers abstract work, especially abstract landscapes. Working in oil and cold wax, she creates a texture similar to cake icing. Through June 29. In the Frable space, Barbara Newlin's "Searching" traces her exploration of several media, including acrylics, encaustics and watercolors. With the on-going show "In Our Own Dreams", by Alexandra Pappas and deceasd Massachusettes artist Miriam Fried, Uptown offers a wide range of art for the serious collector. Through May 27.
