Brought together by a mutual admiration of hardcore and metal groups such as the Cro Mags, Crowbar, Stigmata, Leeway and Metallica, Los Angeles hardcore band Alpha and Omega formed in 2007 and released its debut EP, “The Devil’s Bed,” soon after. Because of that EP, the band toured the country multiple times and shared the stage with the likes of Madball, Terror, Internal Affairs, H2O and others. Fan reaction to the group’s successful 2010 full length album, “Life Swallower,” helped it grab spots at Philadelphia’s This Is Hardcore Fest, Boston’s Great American Hardcore Fest and most recently last month’s United Blood Fest in Richmond. Alpha and Omega perform at Kingdom on Friday, May 10, at 6 p.m. $10. kingdomrva.com.
