"We do daily patrols to make sure the planes are safe. You have to rely on teamwork, like any fire department. My whole family is firefighters. My uncle is a fire chief. I went to Kent State on a baseball scholarship but left to join the military. I could have been a Marine. But my Air Force recruiter got me a job as a firefighter first. I'm ready to go if I'm deployed. I'm jumping at the opportunity."
