Channeling the likes of the Clash and Billy Bragg with plenty of political mayhem anthems, Florida's Against Me! emerged as an ensemble of throwback leftist punk revolutionaries with the release of their 2002 debut, “Reinventing Axl Rose.” Led by frontman Tom Gabel's hoarsely sung protest frustrations, the band eventually hit a career high in 2007 with its breakthrough record, “New Wave,” named best album of that year by Spin magazine. Passionate in its rabble-rousing, confrontational spirit, Against Me! furthers its fist-pumping bravado with its recently released album, “White Crosses.” Opening for headliners Silversun Pickups, Against Me! is scheduled to perform at the National on Monday, June 21, at 7 p.m. $30-$35.
