A Very Special Christmas

Last year, this musical upended religious and Christmas traditions and managed to play for two nights without a visit from a lightning bolt or Jerry Falwell. With the Lynchburg minister out of the picture, it'll take an act of God to stop "The Christmas Story According to Uncle Daddy" at the Firehouse Theatre. The show will likely be another travashamockery of all that is sacred and holy, set to bluegrass music performed by Special Ed and the Shortbus and Dick Butt Kiss and the Tight Ends. The blasphemy runs two nights, Dec. 21 and Dec. 22, with shows at 8 and 10 p.m. Call 239-2549 or visit www.specialedshortbus.com.
