A Sad Au Revoir to 1 North Belmont

Just wanted to offer my regrets regarding the closing of 1 North Belmont restaurant, which had been the closest thing to dining perfection in Richmond (“French Disconnection,” Food & Drink, Jan. 13). This was true for the depth of its menu, quality of service as well as the restaurant ambience in general. At least for me, 1 North Belmont could easily have compared well with any of the best Manhattan restaurants, an awful shame that it became a victim of the recent business recession as well as opening so near to a downturn. Some day?
