A Good Foundation

Under a flag that reads "We're not another jam band," The Matt Koon Foundation rages its stony yacht-rock. With careful attention to keeping it smooth, the band plays rock tunes, minus the lyrics, which would settle well as the backdrop for a Kenny Loggins record from the late '70s. The Foundation celebrates the release of its first album, "Rebel Without Applause," Friday, April 25, at Capital Ale House. Caulit Anything opens at 8 p.m. $5. 780-ALES or visit www.capitalalehouse.com.
