A Blankie for Your Stomach 

They brightened up the place a bit from its Blue Bottle days with light boxes behind the bar, warm yellow and orange walls, and light wood trim. The bar features an impressive beer list of local (Legend) and regional (Sweeping Radish) brews.

When asked who might frequent his Jackson Ward spot, Alley says they're focusing on the neighborhood but believe the spot will have "a sweeping appeal."

Comfort's already getting some influential customers; it will be closed Oct. 10-17 while the HBO movie crew takes over to shoot some scenes for "Iron Jawed Angels." — Carrie Nieman
