While there may be beneficial uses for drones (including tracking poachers in Africa), citizens are very much right to be concerned about them.

From Liberty Underground News:

The Guardian has a piece this morning showing that last year, the first year the UN has tried to document civilian casualties from President Obama's drones, the number of missile strikes in Afghanistan increased from 294 the previous year, to 506. The puppet government of Afghanistan allows it, because it keeps them in office, and the major media frame it as missiles hitting evil doers, which has swung public opinion to favor this barbarity.
