I'm immensely happy that Mayor Jones has finally budgeted some money into replacing urban trees, which have been disappearing from our landscape for many years.
TOO LONG we have budgeted only for removing trees that were dead/dying/fallen, and not budgeted anything toward replacing all the trees lost.

Y'know if any other contractor pulled a stunt like this, they would'v had their tails handed to them.

Richmond has a long, and storied history with these boondoggles. lets look back tot he Church Hill Tunnel.

the purpose of the tunnel was to provide direct rail access to the shipping terminals at Rockets Landing..

Boss Hogg, you keep talking about your "commitment", you have already broken your commitment, and why are you tooting your horn about "Our city has been named as a Tree City USA 21 years and counting by the Arbor Day Foundation" - Guess what? , from the Arbor Day Foundation website (http://www.arborday.org/programs/treeCityU… ) there are more than 3400 communities that are currently a Tree City USA, so Richmond is one of them, BIG DEAL!
