Answer these two questions:

1) If the board was so nobly, why was someone acting on the board's behalf deleting comments supporting Carol from the Facebook page?

2) Again, if the board was acting so nobly, why were two board members contacting other arts organizations in an effort to derail Saturday's rally to support Carol?

The board has acted as if it had something to hide -- to protect itself, not Carol.

I await your answers to these two questions.

This should include Facebook and other social media, commenting to the news media, commenting on articles, participating in rallies or protests, etc.

I respectfully and sadly resigned from the board yesterday, for the greater good. I know some others have as well.

I would ask that all the speculation about who said what or what agenda/s pushed this to such a sad, sad place, be put on silent mode.

In this day of digital fakery, we know of too many incidents of people faking identities online to write glowing reviews of themselves or to attack critics. (You should read the SourceWatch entry on John Lott, so-called gun violence expert and author of "More Guns, Less Crime" for examples of this.

As one of the artists set to work at the Firehouse this season, I am greatly surprised that no one from the organization or board has contacted me directly to reassure me that all systems are "go" on Time Stands Still (set to open in March).
