The current bus system could be 100% improved if they would post the times the bus comes to a stop, publish the stops it makes along it's route, how long it takes to get to the stops in front of where one embarks, and how long the bus runs (e.g. first one in the moring and last in the evening).

I've been here for 12 years, after moving from a region that has managed to keep a massive public transportation system-set running for decades (NY/NJ/CT, aka the Tri-State Area) in spite of the fact that there are cities, counties, townships, and states involved in the planning and running thereof.

I do believe that the lack of public transit in the RVA region is a direct descendant of Jim Crow.

Well the USA has more people living in poverty than Chesterfield and Henrico so therefore they are elite like I first stated ;-)

Yes the counties of the region may have an absolutely higher number of residents living in poverty, but they also have more than six times the population of the city.

While the per capita rate of poverty is significantly higher in the City, the counties actually have more people living in poverty.

GRTC (Greater Richmond Transit Company) is a nonprofit corporation mostly supported financially by the City.
