      <![CDATA[Let us tell it the way it is. Fact is the Major can not do everything, but he is in charge.<br>
With the mulitple problems that the school system is confronted with daily 2 things would help immensely:<br>
smaller classes<br>
more teachers and teachers aids as someone pointed out.<br>
<br>
The teachers are daily in classes with a substaintial number of students that have (for a variety or reasons) no interest in learning and are there for the social aspect. This is no different than in the counties, I suspect the number of pupils is greater in the city if nothing else because of the socico-economic issues.

      <![CDATA[We need more teachers and teachers's aides and fewer middle management employees who do not work in schools. Too many curriculum supervisors, hangers-on, and friends of political wannabees who need jobs.<br>
The City of Richmond supports for-profit, out-of-town businesses by improving the public's facilities yet has allowed the schools to suffer.<br>
