      <![CDATA[These kids in specialty centers while having solid academic course work, expand their horizons on scientific investigations. They have excellent plastic brains that can dig into anything that’s needed.

      <![CDATA[This is all very well and good but mimicking knowledge doesn't = experience and that is what education is supposed to be all about - exposure to, and exploration of, varied concepts.<br>
<br>
The educator that said the student could figure it out on their own missed the point. Going through the background training gives context to the subsequent studies which eventually will run into a brick or glass wall of unpreparedness.
