      <![CDATA[It is interesting that the author highlights the June 25, 1813 invasion of Hampton and vividly comments on the atrocities committed by British soldiers (as well as French mercenaries), yet makes no mention of the US Battle of York in which York (modern-day Toronto) was obliterated just two months prior by US forces on April 27, 1813... American actions in York were not that different from those of the Brits in Hampton.
