      <![CDATA[All of you need to first step back and realize you would have to fundamentally rework every single piece of legislation, law, code etc dealing with ABC - all so some local DJ can get boozing on the streets? You can already zone parking lots and specific areas - Sine does it all the time for bands - sorry pal this is ridiculous, any legitimate person who does research will see this is impossible

      <![CDATA[They should just rope off Shockoe and charge $1 with 21 and over ID to get into the neighborhood after 9PM on weekend nights. They did this in Kansas City a couple of years back in a bar district called Westport that was experiencing similar problems...

      <![CDATA[I could see an Entertainment District designation that would eliminate the need to serve food so that kitchens wouldn't be a necessity in places that want to be music venues. I cannot see the need to walk the streets with a drink in hand.

      <![CDATA[Sounds good to me.  More bars would open in a place like shockoe if there was a walk around area. There would need to be more of a police presence, but it seems to me like a bunch of the violence happens when people pour out of clubs and bars at 2:00 all together in to the street.

      <![CDATA[Las Vegas and Savannah clean their streets and sidewalks like clock work. While I like this idea in concept, I'm not sure if we would want the litter (or the cleanup cost) associated with the convenience of carrying an open container around specific "drinking districts", such as Carytown or Shockoe Bottom.<br>
<br>
One thing I know for sure: we do need looser ABC laws as it pertains to outdoor dining.
