      <![CDATA[and the n-word i am sure has some historical context that could make it an appropriate word to use in contexts also - i do not see any aunt jemima articles honoring black women this magazine appears go out of its way to not bring down any back-lash from the african-american communities the latino communities and asian communities - after perusing several issues it appears the magazine actually prides itself on being progressive towards people of color issues - unfortunately, Native Americans are sorely missing from these progressive stands on very realy issues for a very real people who are  very much alive and well - we do not call ourselves squaws and we ask all to remember the appropriation of our spirituals that killed people in the southwest about a year ago - appropriation hurts people - especially when there is absolutely no human understanding of exactly WHAT one is appropriating
