This is an interesting piece. I appreciate Mr. Parison taking the time to speak with me concerning our organizations' conversations about the creation of a stronger working relationship, but I must clarify that we actually only met once and it was for 30 minutes, which was all the time I was given.

Every single thing I've heard about this clown, from the community as well as from within the Center Stage organization, can be summed up with his own sadly myopic words: "I'm not looking for better ideas." Not to put too fine a point on it, but, NO SHIT!

So, from what I gather, his response to CS and SMG pricing themselves out of having any resident companies is "too bad?"
Once again, the theatre and arts community, who were hoping to finally have an ally in the region, get the shaft.

I'm curious about how this guy plans to reach out to the arts community of Richmond. Especially when his reaction to CenterStage's own Resident Companies with concerns over expensive rent is "that's SMG's territory."
