I am appalled at the ignorance displayed by those who profess to be "expert" on this subject and even accept money from innocent students to spew forth their nonsense. The American Civil War began in 1775 and ended in 1783 with the treaty of Paris.

Red: who do you think compiles and references all of those original source documents? As an amateur Civil War historian, I wouldn't have found half of the information I had without the work "dry historians" and, as often as not, their sources have pointed me to other original documents which I would have had a very hard time otherwise locating, including first person accounts of the battles of Charleston, Cold Harbor, and the crater at Petersburg by my 3x great grandfather.

It's easy to pretend like you're an island unto yourself, but you are standing on the shoulders of others and would be well served to recognize their contributions to your pool of knowledge.
