Fourth Estate Fan: Why wouldn't RPS, or the RPS Board not want the charter school to open? It sounds to me as if would be a great opportunity for many kids trying to advance their education past the standard.

The lack of posts here from PHSSA could mean that they are working hard to prepare their response after receipt of the School Board's letter about how the building needs to be made 100% ADA-compliant?

Perhaps the lack of PHSSA responses is indicative of extreme exhaustion stemming from trying to work with the Richmond Public School administration that specializes in frustrating and wearing down people in order to make them give up hope?

Perhaps the lack of responses from PHSSA is a reflection of a growing awareness among those who have tried to work with the PHSSA members that the RPS administration and School Board never (really) wanted to see this charter school open?

Thanks Chris, that would explain it, but then it does not appear to have been an oversight afterall. Richmond Public School Board had the PHSSA on the Agenda Item #8(c), and the PHSSA chose not to speak because they were not yet prepared, so the Board rescheduled them, and placed them on the Agenda for the next meeting (February 1, 2010).

@ Chris Dovi: Instead of asking Board Members if they remember what was presented at the Jan 4, 2010 Board Meeting, why not as for a Draft copy of the Board Minutes. If the minutes do not reflect the presentation, then it did not officially happen.
