      <![CDATA["VCU, as an instituation of the Commonwealth, does not have to do the same as private property owners in the City of Richmond."<br><br>This is a problem and it touches on much more than just historic preservation. VCU is out of control and needs to be reigned in by state government.

      <![CDATA[I've been informed that VCU, as an instituation of the Commonwealth, does not have to do the same as private property owners in the City of Richmond. Sad, because the Commonwealth has not always done right by historic buildings, like the Murphy Hotel that was torn down not too long ago.
