      <![CDATA[I agree about the cost issue !!!<br><br>I don't think RPS should pay any money over the average cost per student for children with special needs and disabilities, students in "at-risk" alternative programs like CCP, AP & IB and all gifted programs, Franklin, Governor's School or anything else like those programs. Just keep things down to the average cost per student and let these special interest programs fend for themselves.

      <![CDATA[If RPS can write a $13,000 check for each child to attend the for profit school, CCP, then I would like  checks for the same amount to follow each of my children and my friends' children into nonprofit private schools. The schools in our neighborhood cannot possibly give our children the education they need because they are educated well before entering RPS and RPS teaches to the bottom.<br><br>I will fight for vouchers if RPS chooses to expand a for profit alternative(prison) school for kids.<br><br>Give us good schools, sound policies, qualified staff and there will be no need to send children to prison schools.

      <![CDATA[RPS should pay montessori and reggio emilia programs to take in city kids before they reach the middle school years and those schools are non profit and offer children a far more promising future. The Montessori in the east end runs about $6000 a year which is far cheaper than the for profit school, CCP.
