I don't think RPS should pay any money over the average cost per student for children with special needs and disabilities, students in "at-risk" alternative programs like CCP, AP & IB and all gifted programs, Franklin, Governor's School or anything else like those programs. Just keep things down to the average cost per student and let these special interest programs fend for themselves.

I'm opposed to my tax dollars funding a for profit private school. I'd rather the money be spent on regular, charter, and magnet schools.

I will fight for vouchers if RPS chooses to expand a for profit alternative(prison) school for kids.

Give us good schools, sound policies, qualified staff and there will be no need to send children to prison schools.

I would like to see a chart that lists how much RPS pays for Governor's School slots, IB program positions, seats at Franklin Military, Community, Open and then to compare those numbers with what they spend on the so-called "regular" high school programs.
