Joe the Writer:

Any libertarian who actually believes in property rights would condemn the corporate form out of hand. Corporations are not creatures of the "free market" but are rather special grants of privilege that allow people to do business in a manner fundamentally different than unincorporated people do business.

Although the efficacy of the corporation as a social, financial and even political institution in this country is in question (and it should be), I don't think the article is only concerned with this issue. Mr. C is also disappointed in our nation's highest court for their misguided understanding of the protections of one of our national treasures, the first amendment.

The Cyberpunks warned us, back in the 80s, that corporations would make governments irrelevant.

I think they were both naive and correct: corporations will merely use government as their front-ends now, until the entire rotten edifice collapses with the permanent end of cheap oil and a return to local commerce in the hands of small businesses.

The Tea-Party and other Libertarian flamers here are going to attack you hard, Mr. C. I probably disagree with some particulars in your piece, but I'll add what Libertarians never dare say: oppression by large corporations is no different from oppression by a Nanny State.

So say hello to the new boss, same as the old boss: another signal of a once-great nation in its terminal decline into sideshow status.
