The whole idea of a trickle down theory is for larger cities to influence the current landscape of trends and culture, and serve as an inspiration for others.

You wouldn't consider the art inside the VMFA to be behind the times, so nor can you consider the choice of a retro design statement that is simple to leave your eye focused on the food and art.
