If the author is trying to set up Obama as some kind of self-involved egomaniac, I can think of other presidents who were far worse. Remember Richard "the Trick" Nixon who used to keep the air conditioner set very low in the Southern California heat so he could use the fireplace.

As far as Michelle Obama and Spain, that is a cheap shot.
