The students who have already enrolled to attend PH represent a diverse group and would actually increase student enrollment in the schools (and bring in more money for the system), despite the fact that Richmond Public Schools has done everything it can to kill the school and the possibility of providing additional choices for Richmond parents of all colors and socio-economic levels.

You are mistaken on many levels:

1) Patrick Henry Charter School is free and open to any child in the City of Richmond.

2) Charter schools are not private schools, they are public schools.
