      <![CDATA[If the child is a rising sixth grader then the school the author is talking about is Swift Creek ELEMENTARY, not Swift Creek MIDDLE. If the author can't even get that fact straight then why should I believe anything else in this article?!

      <![CDATA[I am sure that if public school systems could find a way to totally exclude children with disabilities  they would in a heartbreaking hot minute. The fact that the Virginia Department of Education lets them get away with this is sickening.

      <![CDATA[Chesterfield likes to say that they are one of the best systems in the country. This story reveals that when one gets past the nice websites and self congratulatory stories in the RTD that there is a system that is limiting the opportunities of those that are "different" and perhaps a bit more work than the average student.

      <![CDATA[If the parents of children with disabilities can find the courage to stand up for their rights and the rights of their children, it will be a great day in America. Perhaps the courage they demonstrate will inspire the other parents of children who are not labeled with a "disability" to stand up and demand that they, too, should have voice in their child's public education.
