As the story mentions, the reporter's two big citations are:<br><br>1) Projections by which the convention center should be measured (according to the convention center itself): C.H. Johnson Consulting Inc.<br><br>2) Hotel-room nights: Smith Travel Research.<br><br>This story looks at the hotel rooms most likely to be affected (or not) by convention-center traffic.

      <![CDATA[I submit that we should divide the city into three parts and ask to be annexed by Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico Counties<br><br>No matter how hard any "non-African American"  works to improve Richmond, the race card inevitably gets played. I wish I could see a way to improve things, but I am not willing to take wear a hairshirt and endure insults from the arrogant elected leaders and their minions in this town.

      <![CDATA[Hilton lawsuit, Broad Street CDA, Sixth Street Marketplace, gross & criminal mismanagement of both City of Richmond and Richmond Public Schools ... and now it appears that the current mayor has found a way to co-opt and put members of City Council and the School Board into a kumbaya coma in which no one dares to speak up or cares to remember that they were elected to serve the people, not be a bunch of head-nodders and rubber stamps! God save the Commonwealth and the City of Richmond.<br><br><br><br>

      <![CDATA[&ldquo;The bottom line here is very clear: That center is not doing anywhere near the business that it was forecast to do.&rdquo;<br><br>On one hand, I feel vindicated yet again, on the other hand, I still mourn the opportunity costs that could have made a better Richmond, not to mention historic Jackson Ward's loss.<br><br>While I do not doubt the Ukrops' generosity and well-meaning actions, this is part of the reason that many Richmonders cringe whenever they lobby City Council.
