<![CDATA[Concession Stand has money alotted from a Cities of the Future Grant in which much of the money was budgeted to be spent on parks Parks & Rec have barebone budget chipped down to nothing and cannot maintain their 175 parks/facilities. Money for construction in parks that was not already put into action has now gone for public schools and to make the prison up to code.

<![CDATA[I don't think my intent was to automatically criticize the city for spending $400,000 on a concession stand. I would hope that the end result of spending $400,000 would be financially rewarding for the city.

<![CDATA[Code and law enforcement issues aside, while I certainly support Netwon, First Friday, and Gallery 5, and others, at some point people are going to have to face the reality of what has happened: our tax money has gone to supporting white elephants like the Broad Street CDA, Center Stage, Hippodrone, and others that have no ROI. That's where any capacity for a public arts budget has gone, and now things are going to get even tougher with Great Depression 2.

<![CDATA[Once again...CAPS has a legitimate job to do and, as far as I know, their inspectors have been courteous and professional during their unannounced raids..sorry..inspections. This issue should not be about the inspections themselves, but about the timing and the targets.
