Please emphasize to your friends in other districts that thus far we have Betty Squire, John Gerner, Jennie Dotts, Matt Conrad and Keith West who have all expressed interest in the appointment — and who are all long-time Church Hill residents.

I know several of us have lobbied John Murden to go for the appointment as well. Thus far, he is resisting.

With this kind of low-down and dirty inside-baseball politricking, who can blame the guy?

Yes Cynthia Newbille lives in the 7th district, she grew up there, went to elementary school, middle school and high school there and currently works there as the acting director of the East End Family Resource Center.

There is a petition advocating for Cynthia that supporters for real change in Richmond can sign.

1. When Doug WIlder ran for Mayor of the City he had to move back into the city, he did not live in the city before he ran.

Citizens in ALL districts should be encouraged to sign this petition. If Henry Marsh, Mayor Jones and Delores McQuinn get away with moving an outsider into the 7th District for the appointment to the seat, it taints the entire City Council and calls into question their ethics.
