As a former board member of the Resource Center, I can attest to the fact that Ms. Newbille has worked long and hard on the ground to improve the lives of all of those living in Church Hill. I challenge the bloggers and posters opposing her appointment to match the amount of work Ms. Newbille has done for Church Hill residents.

Speaking of "trying to get somebody in office who is complacent with the egregious land-grab," you must be talking about the Marsh/McQuinn group because according to the TD: “Meanwhile, the development group has enlisted a powerful ally for their negotiations with the city — state Sen. Henry L. Marsh III, D-Richmond, a former Richmond mayor. He was retained after the November election to provide “government advocacy” with the city, project officials said.”

http://chpn.net/news/2009/01/13/loupassi-introduces-stadium-financing-bill/

Look, R-Loupassi and D-Marsh reaching across the aisle.
