A few months ago- it was story after story about bad landlords - you know, the ones who didn't FOLLOW THE CODE/LAW?!? Now, its "Well, we're different - the code/law shouldn't apply to us... we're ARTISTS!

Then, we've got BackPage stories about people not obeying the law (leash laws/alcohol laws/noise laws, etc) and complaining when they are cited by the police for breaking the law.

I hear what you are saying but let's keep some perspective. A lot of families and older residents are being driven out of inner city neighborhoods by inconsiderate VCU student renters who have no long term interest in the City's well-being.
