Re: “Touching Down

The City of Richmond has a long history of providing large sums of taxpayer money to subsidize poorly researched and poorly executed projects that were touted as having the potential to boost the economy and bring jobs, income, tourists, prestige, etc to the city, but then had spectacular failures.
The Sixth Street Market and the Main Street Station are two examples of past fiascos that were a complete waste of citizen tax dollars.
I fully expect that the Redskins Training Camp and the proposed new stadium for the Richmond Squirrels will be two additional examples.
