This type of development would be terrible for this area. Currently the area is home to some beautiful old architecture, retail and the sure to follow cheaply built apartments would bring the area down in 20 years or less. Just because it is right off the highway does not make it the best spot for big retail. The counties already have malls to shop in, we don't need to travel to Richmond to go to the same stores we already have. I hope the local residents think long and hard about what this proposal would do to that beautiful area of town.
