I would also like to remind the author that the first insertion method she cites often occurs without the women's consent. But ignoring that inconvenient fact certainly makes it easier to paint a picture of a universe where women shouldn't be offended by an ultrasound being inserted weeks after her rape.
The decision to have an abortion is a choice. The mandate to have a state sanctioned ultrasound with additional out of pocket expense, after your rape, is not a choice. Get the difference? It's truly very simple.
