I, Gayle Turner, do resolve not to support The Firehouse Theatre Project in any way until the original art maker, Carol Androski Piersol Piersol is reinstated and the situation is resolved to her and the theatre community 's satisfaction. I will not make art, nor be in the audience, nor donate until this happens If you are an artist or an art patron please join with us.
I stumbled onto this thread after having returned from another great night in the theatre in RVA.
I am dismayed.
I stood outside the Firehouse the night I saw "Salesman" until midnight talking with Joe. I told him I was seriously trying to decide whether or not Lanford Wilson's "Burn This" with Mallkovich and Joan Allen or the performance I had just witnessed was the most moving of my 56 years as an actor, director, producer and audience member.
My momma has always admonished me it's not what you say, but how you say it.
Well, sorry momma, but there's no way the cretins who've denigrated Joe's professionalism and talent could have written their insulting drivel that would have been anything but an insult to Joe and our community.
I pray they'll accept another piece of your wisdom.
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth or in this case write and remove all doubt.
Re: “Letter: In Firehouse Controversy, Time to Come Together”
I offered Carol & Morrie jobs with The Storytellers Channel Tuesday evening.
