Re: “Firehouse Theatre Turns Hose on Itself”
If I could post a video here I would. It would be a clip from the film "Tombstone" starring Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp. After the murder of his brother by the famed "Cowboys" he sends a message, and I quote, "You tell 'em I'm comin' and Hell's comin' with me!" If you thought there was an uproar created by the ousting of Carol, there will be a firestorm when you attack Richmond's favorite son, Joe Inscoe and the other amazing local actors who graced the stage in "Death of a Salesman" If the board continues to dig their feet in the sand and maintain their very unpopular decision, it would seem that Ruth will get her wish, and ALL of the actors will have to be "brought in" as no "local" actor will be auditioning for productions, no "good" ones anyway, that is if FTP survives at all.
