I produce burlesque shows at Gottwald Playhouse, along with my troupe, Those Freaking Weirdos, and we adore it. The auditorium can be configured half a dozen ways, it's easy to pack in and out and the dressing rooms are nice and big. Yes, it could be cheaper, but they help promote shows to a degree we have found invaluable. All of our shows there have sold out. We're already scheduled to produce three more shows there this year and are focused on securing dates for 2014 (which is why it was disappointing to read "no locally produced shows were on the Gottwald schedule").
