I don't care if it's their "thing", Mamma Zu has the worst service. When we went we got one single drink refill so maybe you should bring your own drink. If you want to see something that's incredibly gross and lazy go sit near their lunch rush bus tub and you'll get the privilege of staring at half eaten food while you dine. We saw a server drop dirty plates into this clearly visible disgusting tub then walk straight back to the kitchen. Hmm maybe he could have carried the dirty dishes with him? They do prep at their bar so don't go in there thinking you'll be able to casually have a seat there because you won't. The food was mediocre, definitely not making up for all their other errors. Why go somewhere with bad service when there's so many options in RVA?
