I've known Ralph for many years as a mountain biker. I have much respect for this man. Building the trails in JRPS he would not let us cut down a dead tree because some animal may be living in it. He was right. But he supported our activity and volunteerism wholeheartedly and the trails were developed sustainably. He just wants each of us to love the river in any way we could and as much as he does. His efforts have made a tremendous impact on the face of Richmond. To be named River City by Outside Magazine is a huge honor. Thank you from deep in my heart Ralph White for your service!!
