This is crazy. How can anybody in the RVa region think its a good idea to spend this kind of money to host PRACTICE for 3 WEEKS?
Meanwhile Parny and the rest of the Squirrels have been such a positive influence on the area. They play 70 home games. The lead the league in attendance. They are the farm team to Giants who have won 2 out of last 3 World Series!
If the powers that be take their eye off the ball, Parny and the Squirrels will be packing their bags and heading elsewhere. The Diamond used to be the crown jewel. Its now the laughing stock of the league.

Thats sort of the point Southbarton. We have the best attendance! Nearly sold out for 70 home games! Versus a 3 week practice.
Its obviously not an "either or" situation but keeping the Squirrels here makes way more sense (cents) then bringing football here for 21 days of practice.
If the stadium issue is not resolved, that best attendance record will turn into zero attendance because the Squirrels will be gone.
