Re: “Firehouse Theatre Is Greater Than One

Patently ridiculous whitewash that misses the point entirely. This is no longer about Carol... it is about process....or in this case lack thereof. You speak of things that are critical for the survival of art....one you do not mention here till the very end is community support....and then only as something you expect as a matter of course. You cannot do anything you want and then stand back and ask the community to support it. Your choices must be guided by the community or you will, indeed should be, abandoned by them. The arts community will continue to support art that supports them....art that responds to them....art that moves them. Art that says to the community "We know better than you what should be done, so pipe down and take what we give you." deserves to be cast aside....and it will be. Shame on you Joni, for thinking so little of us.

Re: “Burning Down the House

I, Todd Schall-Vess , hereby resolve to not support The Firehouse Theatre Project in any way until the original art maker, Carol Androski Susannah Piersol is reinstated as Artistic Director and the situation is resolved to her and the theatre community's satisfaction. I will not make art, nor be in the audience, nor donate until this happens. If you are an artist/actor or an arts patron/supporter, ticket-buyer, donor, student, technician, et al, please join with me and the rest of us.

Re: “Firehouse Director Ousted

On the one hand, they talk about "negotiate her retirement" and on the other,"The resolution is already passed and not open to negotiation,"

That isn't negotiation, it was an ultimatum.

Amongst the other things they need to learn, add vocabulary.

Better yet, learn the value of what you have....want a new direction? Negotiate that. Carol is a woman of strong opinions....good leaders and artists usually are, but was never afraid to discuss new ideas. And she helped foster a company with literally nothing into something special.
