Re: “Founder Leaving Holocaust Museum

All of the work and dedication since its inception has put this museum on the world map. I personally worked side by side with Jay Ipson and know about the hours of dedication he has put into the museum. We worked tirelessly since 1997 at the Temple Beth El building and the move to the 2000 East Cary Street location to achieve the present exhibitions at Virginia Holocaust Museum. The museum has been attracting visitors from all over the world, which surpasses their expectations. The permanent interactive exhibitions explain how the Holocaust affected not only Europe but the USA especially the involvement of Virginia. It has the only Palace of Justice exhibition that covers genocide around the world, which unfortunately is still happening today. It has several traveling exhibitions that have been exhibited in other venues. Since the opening of this building in 2003 it has also had temporary exhibition and programs that covered movies, artist, the Jehovah Witnesses, USA Liberators, Rwanda, Darfur genocide, The Pope and to many to mention. This judgment that the museum is now going in a different but a wonderful direction without Jay Ipson is a bogus statement.
