Re: “The Perfect Mayor

Loon or not, all of the "sane" people who've been running Richmond have done a really great job of not that much. When suits and sanity fail, maybe its time to loosen the reigns and try something different, and make Richmond a place where communities have more autonomy and ability to affect their own lives. Richmond's "sane" politicians have got us to where we are over budgeted on police, under budgeted on education, 25% in poverty, and beholden to cars. Different might be a little scary or weird, but I say its time to try different things instead of making the same mistakes over and over again.

Re: “City’s Sidewalk Repairs Top $21 Million

The City of Richmond needs some serious budget and priority re-assessments. One also wonders about how much our strong history of nepotism and corruption comes into play regarding the badly maintained sidewalks and estimates for the repairs. Sidewalks are something I think needs to be maintained, and are part of a plan developing in my campaign of Mo Mayor, Less Cars. More walking/biking/public transportation options for all Richmonders, while making sure that the less able bodied and differently abled citizens have good access to transit as well. www.moformayor.wordpress.com more coming soon.
