These kids in specialty centers while having solid academic course work, expand their horizons on scientific investigations. They have excellent plastic brains that can dig into anything that’s needed.
When the research scientist said you can figure it out, he probably meant giving her the opportunity to explore by herself providing all the resources needed and verified her understanding of the concepts.
Many a times we need someone knowledgeable to check on out approach and validate. That is what she perhaps did.
Also, Metro Richmond judges are not that scientific. They barely understand the advanced concepts. VJAS judges have more scientific authenticity.
Who is a real geniuse - these kids who got noticed this early in their lives definetely are. Let us be proud and support their hardwork.
