Re: “Switch Voter: A Richmond Businessman Leads a Made-For-TV Brigade of Trumpocrats

Rickers must have been undermining Democrats since he was 18...how many of those Dems got elected that he was supposedly helping? I know 1 that didn't and Rickers was his campaign manager. I would say Sell out, but this guy obviously has no clue...as P.T. Barnum said...There's a sucker born every minute.

Re: “On the Agenda: Deciding How to Honor Slave Sites

It's called saving face. As an African American and alumnus of VUU, you would think Mayor Jones would have been more thoughtful with this site from the beginning.

Re: “Council Leadership in Flux

We need strong leadership for this position...and it's NOT Michelle Mosby.

Re: “Retracing Steps

Richmond needs to embrace its history and this history belongs to us all. A World UNESCO site is within our city's reach, and would bring tourism from all over the world...a baseball stadium surely would not. The Bottom with its proximity to the river could encompass the slave trade in its entirety and could provide a shared interactive experience of the journey that so many African Americans made. Wake up Richmond...we are history in the making...we need insightful visions for our city, not baseball parks that have nothing to do with our past or our future.

Re: “Back on Base

I hope City Council members are able to wade through all of the lies and misinformation that Mayor Jones, his staff, and Venture Richmond have dished out to profit developers. There is nothing wrong with the stadium we have...make it better, build retail and underground parking...and while you're at it...flood mitigation in the Bottom would allow businesses to come, flourish and the story of the Slave Trade could be told right here in Richmond.
