Why wouldn't we FIX the ball park we already have? Or tear it down and build a new one right where it already is? This location is perfect, near interstate traffic and the Boulevard which is steadily opening new businesses and is the home to the VMFA. What's wrong with this city? Building a ball park in the Bottom is a terrible idea. The traffic mess that is already a part of downtown just couldn't handle more traffice...but the more important idea is...WHY are we not taking advantage of building an African American history museum on the very grounds where Civil War history was made? Why isn't Richmond embracing its history and honoring those African American's that were bought and sold right here in Richmond? Why can't Richmond get over the Confederacy? Why aren't we using this opportunity and place to respect, honor and educate? Richmond just CAN'T get it right! Sweeping history under the carpet doesn't make it GO AWAY!

Boo hiss Eric Cantor...the greatest obstructionist of all time. He doesn't give a rip about Virginia or America. Eric Cantor is interested in one thing...adding to his and his corporate buddies bottom line. Eric Cantor is the epitomy of deceipt.

Pro Choice means we are capable of making medical decisions about our own bodies...it doesn't mean "murderer or baby killer". What's your name "YaWn"? Are you too ashamed to admit you are a misogynist and that you have no understanding of how birth control works? Birth control IS NOT ONLY the woman's responsibility. I am honored to be a part of this group of activists who have and will continue to make a difference in politics at the State and Federal level. We won't "GO BACK" in time and we will continue our demonstrations and protests until women are treated equally under the law.
Roe V. Wade puts women's safety first and was established so that women are protected. We are capable of making our own decisions TODAY and TOMORROW.

Great article...and finally an article that doesn't lean right or left, but tells it like it is! Thank you to Shelley Abrams for fighting for us all and for stepping outside of the comfort zone where many women wait and hope yet remain apathetic to our plight.

Doesn't our great state of Virginia deserve better? Eric Cantor hasn't represented the 7th district, our Commonwealth or the USA for years. It's time to VOTE HIM OUT...permanently. Because Terry McAuliffe is a relative unknown by some, because he is a successful business owner and entrepreneur, that makes him gushy and unaware of what is good for Virginia? Ken Cuccinelli and our current governor have put Virginia on the map as an unfavorable state for women to live in and raise their families. These men have successfully transformed our state as the model for oppressive legislation against women, voters, and the environment. Their "so called" leadership has allowed them to take money, gifts and donations from Star Scientific; a failed and questionable business in our state, that is now in a legal battle over taxes. All of this at the Commonwealth's expense. and under the direct "leadership" of Ken Cuccinelli. Not only have they taken "gifts", for themselves and their families, but have have chosen not to report these gifts, a direct violation of the code of ethics of our state. Now they are under investigation by the FBI. Ken Cuccinelli is a bully. He's not even a native Virginian. He has succesfully used his power to undermine the Virginia Board of Health and has stacked other agencies and boards in our state with members who will vote in favor of his own extreme ideology and interpretation of the law. Ken Cuccinelli (born of Italian descent), oppresses his own ethnicity. Ken Cuccinelli is an extremist! Talk about not being good for Virginia. Virginia cannot afford another 4 years of the failed leadership of Ken Cuccinelli.
